CBS Health & Safety
The College of Biological Science (CBS) is committed to ensuring a safe workplace for all members of the College.
Students and all personnel in the college are required to take at least WHMIS, Biosafety and Laboratory Safety training in order to participate in lab and/or other research in CBS. Refer to Safety Training Matrix for role-specific training requirements.
As of October 2011, a new CBS Safety Binder has been placed in all research and teaching labs throughout the college. This binder provides easy access to key reference material as it contains an updated Safety Handbook as well as Safety Training Records for lab personnel.
